Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join our administration team at Wintec | Te Pūkenga. 

You will work collaboratively and proactively with a diverse team to provide a high standard of administrative support. We have two permanent positions. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support to academic programmes and modules across the Centre at all levels. 

The appointing salary for this role will be between $57,300 and $67,000 dependent on skills and experience. The Academic Administrator is based at Wintec | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Office Manager and will be responsible for: 

  • Providing a high standard of administrative support to the Centre to ensure it functions well for the staff and its customers
  • Providing a high level of support to ensure the effective administration of programmes and the effective and efficient operation of the Centre
  • Coordinating and assisting with, student-related events
  • Maintaining, a friendly and professional reception for students as well as internal and external clients

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Highly developed administrative skills and experience
  • The ability to manage competing tasks
  • Knowledge and experience using database management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven experience in a busy office environment and a high level of initiative, flexibility and drive are essential. Level 4 or equivalent qualification preferred, but not essential.
