Academic Staff Member, Bachelor of Physiotherapy

About the role
Come and join our Wintec Physiotherapy programme in a teaching role. You will work among a dedicated and enthusiastic team to prepare ākonga with real-world skills, knowledge and mindsets to be successful physiotherapists.
We have two exciting part-time roles available:
Role 1: Primarily a teaching role, for between 22.5 and 30 hours.
Role 2: Is a teaching role, but a key part of this role is the coordination of clinical placements for our ākonga. This person needs to be organised, have excellent networking and relationship-building skills, and already have an extensive network of connections within the Waikato region. This role will be between 15 and 22.5 hours per week.
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and attitude:
- Eligibility to practise as a physiotherapist in Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia.
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in physiotherapy.
- A minimum of 5 years' clinical experience in one or more of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, or neurological physiotherapy.
- A Master’s, PhD, or DHSc in physiotherapy or a closely related discipline (or nearing completion) is highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience in adult teaching and learning, curriculum design and research.
- Existing relationships with industry stakeholders within Aotearoa New Zealand.
