Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The position is based at the City Campus, Kirikiriroa Hamilton reporting to the Head of Physiotherapy within the Centre for Health and Social Practice.

He kōrero mōu| About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Eligibility to practise as a physiotherapist in New Zealand or Australia
  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in physiotherapy
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in one or more of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological physiotherapy
  • A postgraduate degree (Master, PhD, DHSc) in physiotherapy or closely related discipline (or nearing completion) is highly desirable but not essential
  • Evidence of curricula design at undergraduate levels and sound knowledge of adult teaching and learning is highly desirable
  • Experience in teaching in the field of physiotherapy/allied health at degree level
  • A demonstratable history of research productivity (commensurate with the level of appointment) is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated potential to build effective relationships with industry stakeholders within Aotearoa-NZ would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated contribution to healthcare through engagement in industry, leadership, service, and innovation are desirable

The appointment will be made according to the successful candidate’s research profile and academic experience at the level of Academic Staff Member, Senior Academic Staff Member, or Principal Academic Staff Member. Please indicate the level of appointment that you are applying for. 

We are seeking to appoint a permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week); however, we would also consider making permanent fractional appointments (e.g. 0.4 to 0.8). We offer flexible work arrangements.
