Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

Join our team as a part-time International Travel & Accommodation Coordinator at Wintec | Te Pūkenga.

In this key support role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating timely and cost-effective domestic and international travel for staff, and occasionally for students, ensuring all bookings align with approved travel plans and organisational policies. You'll also oversee accommodation arrangements for inbound international visitors, provide pre-departure guidance, and maintain accurate records of travel and accommodation activity. 

This position is based at our Hamilton campus and reports directly to the International Director. The appointing salary range is $65,000 - $66,000 (pro rate), depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel bookings, including flights, accommodation, car hire, shuttles, insurance, and visas.
  • Manage accommodation bookings for inbound international visitors, ensuring suitability and budget compliance.
  • Provide pre-departure support and guidance to travelling staff, including itineraries, visa requirements, insurance, and travel policy compliance.
  • Maintain accurate travel and accommodation records for reporting, budget tracking, and planning.
  • Develop, implement, and review travel procedures and policies to ensure compliance with Wintec’s travel policy.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings, schedules, and priorities.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, responding quickly and effectively to last-minute changes, travel disruptions, or emergencies.
  • Attention to detail in managing international travel bookings, contracts, and visa documentation.
  • A customer service focus with a proactive and responsive approach to supporting staff and stakeholders.
