As part of the Tiriti Partnerships and Māori Success directorate, the Kaihautū role is integral to advancing Wintec’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and driving system-wide transformation through the Tōia Mai framework. This role champions mana ōrite by fostering Māori excellence, leadership, and prosperity within vocational education. Guided by kaupapa Māori principles, the Kaihautū works collaboratively to embed Tiriti partnerships across organisational systems, ensuring equitable outcomes for ākonga Māori and their whānau. In alignment with Wintec’s mission, this position supports strategies that enable culturally grounded practices, strengthen Māori capability, and uphold the aspirations of Māori communities.

The Kaihautū (Mātauranga Māori Borderless Professionals) is a senior Māori leadership role that drives system‑wide transformation at Wintec through the implementation of the Tōia Mai Excellence Framework, advancing Te Tiriti partnerships, mana ōrite and Māori success across the organisation.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $108,400 and $135,400, dependent on skills and experience.
