Training Facilitator – Accounting Skills for Non-Accountants (Casual Hourly Paid)
About the Role
Wintec Professional Programmes is seeking an experienced and engaging Training Facilitator to deliver our Accounting Skills for Non-Accountants programme. This practical one-day workshop is designed to help business owners, supervisors, managers and professionals develop the financial confidence needed to make informed business decisions—without requiring a formal accounting background.
We are looking for an industry professional who can simplify financial concepts, relate them to real workplace situations, and create an enjoyable learning experience for adult learners. This casual contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge while helping others build confidence in understanding business finances.
In this role, you will:
- Facilitate engaging, practical and interactive workshops for adult learners.
- Deliver programme content that reflects current accounting principles and business practices.
- Explain financial concepts in a clear, practical and easy-to-understand manner.
- Use workplace examples and case studies to reinforce learning.
- Encourage learner participation through discussion and practical activities.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback throughout the workshop.
- Maintain accurate learner records and complete programme administration requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing review and continuous improvement of programme resources.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has substantial experience in accounting, finance, business management or a related field.
- Has practical experience interpreting financial information and supporting business decision-making.
- Is passionate about developing others and helping people build financial confidence.
- Has excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Has experience facilitating training, coaching, mentoring or presenting to adult learners (preferred but not essential).
- Can confidently deliver practical learning using real-world business examples.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Possesses a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand.
Professional membership with organisations such as CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) or CPA Australia would be advantageous but is not essential.
About the Programme
The Accounting Skills for Non-Accountants programme provides participants with practical financial knowledge to better understand business performance and contribute confidently to financial discussions.
