Solutions Architect

Wintec is evolving its digital environment to better support learning, teaching, and organisational outcomes. We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to play a key role in designing, building, and improving our applications and data platforms.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across architecture, delivery and stakeholder engagement – helping ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with our strategic direction. You’ll lead the design of application, integration, and data solutions, while staying close to delivery – working alongside teams to help build, implement, and continuously improve what’s delivered.
You’ll also take responsibility for shaping our data infrastructure and architecture, helping us make better use of our information and enabling more informed decision-making.
Just as importantly, you’ll bring strong communication and relationship skills, working with a wide range of people across Digital and the wider organisation to ensure solutions are well understood and supported.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $108,400 and $135,400, dependent on skills and experience.
The Solutions Architect is based in our Digital Solutions team reporting to the Manager – Digital Solutions and will be responsible for:
- Design end-to-end solutions across applications, integration and data
- Work hands-on with teams to build, refine, and troubleshoot solutions
- Engage with stakeholders and translate needs into practical outcomes
- Facilitate solution design discussions and technical decision-making
- Design and evolve data platforms, pipelines, and flows
- Create and maintain clear architecture documentation
- Support architecture governance and design assurance
- Work with Digital Solutions, Digital Platforms, and Technology Services teams
- Provide clear advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support ongoing improvement and optimisation of solutions

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience as a Solutions, Application, or Data Architect
- Strong mix of architecture and hands on technical experience
- Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with application, integration and data platforms
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
- Pragmatic approach balancing strategy and delivery
